We're back! I will be posting regularly again and doing some updating on Messing About Chesapeake Bay. I have been busy redesigning our Select Shelter Products website...new posting and acticles took a backseat.
Tomorrow we are off on a 2 week cruise from Baltimore to the Caribbean on the Enchantment of the Seas...sun & fun! On the water...but someone else at the controls.
Northern Point of Cacaway Island
This was our first weekend trip in August. The weather didn't look promising...but decided to give it a try. Originally our destination was going to be the Wye River...but changed our location to Cacaway Island. We had a gentle sail up the Chester and found an uncrowded anchorage awaiting us...only 5 other boats. This is a great place for a dog...the beach is close and has lots of sand. The 3 of us went for a long dinghy ride and then enjoyed dinner with a nice Merlot(except the pooch). Around 9:00PM a storm hit the area with about 42 knot winds and lots of rain for 2 hours. It tested our new all- chain anchor rode...A OK! We decided to head back to Osprey Point Sunday morning and fight the rain in the Marina.

Our great trip with Club Beneteau Chesapeake Bay - June 29th to July 14th. So many memories!
This is our 3rd long ditant trip with CB2...great fun with everyone...especially Robert and Ulrich...who also enjoy a good glass of wine or two and special meals. We're always cooking up a storm, even under way.
Also a special thanks to Joe Zablecks, Rear Commodore of CB2 for his time in organizing and executing the trip...and for being the Father Duck!
